Kentucky Mountain Mission

Last night we sang and testified at Bear Track Bible Church at the site of Kentucky Mountain Mission. Kentucky Mountain Mission is a beautiful camp. It’s located on one of the highest hills in the county. The people there were very friendly and nice and we had about 30 minutes of singing and testifying. We all told the stories of how we got saved. And we sang out hearts out! ( I was very dry! I know next to get some water and bring with me.) There were many older people and younger people there as well and it was neat to have such a good group! I would say there was about 30-40 people. The young people listened so well!

One funny thing that happened on one song… I was getting ready to sing so we put the track in and I got ready to sing my solo when the demo track played instead. Everyone got a good laugh out of that and I said, “I was wondering what kind of voice was coming out of me”. It was pretty funny and we all laughed but I was thankful I was able to be serious enough to sing the rest of the song!

We also met a guy there who is in charge of the music of the camp I believe and he traveled with Michael Card. We thought that was really neat. He has made a neat CD and we talked a little about making on of our own one of these days. We were asked by the camp out, for the two nights that we are available and sing, for the girls camp that will be going on. We are looking forward to that.

Well, our dear sweet cousins the Dunbars came in last night with their mother, my Aunt Linda. We are having fun and last night we stayed up pretty late! It’s a full house here at Granny’s! I think today we might head to the pool.

Tonight we will be singing for a recording for a TV show in Prestonsberg. We look forward to this and hope that things will go well!

I want to thank you for all the sweet comments and emails I get from you all. We sure do miss our church at home… we love you all and we thank you for your love toward us while we are on the road. We talk about you all pretty much anywhere we go! God bless you all our extended church family. We love you.

You are going though Prestonsburg… You are doing to really, really, really wind through the hills tonight to get to Tackett Fork… You are in for a treat. I miss you. Sing your hearts out. Dress sharp tonight because it will be broadcast on TV a number of different places.

    I love you.

We miss you here at Evangel, girls, but feel like we’re right with you on the journey. Thank you for the updates and pix that make us feel that way! It’s a grey, rainy day here in MI but we’re thankful for it and the somewhat cooler temps. May God bless your service for Him today.
