Well Folks, we have reached the end of our Tour in Kentucky. We ended it with one of the most beautiful places we have been to.
We went to Williamsburg Kentucky. Williamsburg is close to the Tennessee border. In the morning we went to Calvary Missionary Baptist. We met our friends the Veenstra’s there! It was so good to see them. They took us out to a beautiful meal for lunch and then we went to Cumberland Falls. That was a beautiful place. The falls were so pretty against the rocks and mountains. Truly a beautiful place.
The morning service went great. It was a bigger church then we were used to but the people were so friendly and nice. The evening singing was at a beautiful church way back in the hills. We drove past some rolling hills and beautiful scenery. There were beautiful mountain lakes…
We got to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for the singing and it was a beautiful little church on the hill by a cemetary. We pulled in and there were quite a few cars the lined the driveway and yard by the church. Horses grazed on the hillside by the church.
We went into the church and there was a wonderful, awesome bluegrass band. They were great. I loved listening to them. Then we sang. They all were so nice and listened to close to us. Afterward they had a carry-in dinner.

The guys are here! Dad, Dan and Wes drove into Campton yesterday. We are so glad to be all together again! Now I miss the rest of the fam. Life is so good and it’s a beautiful day here in Campton KY. We will be driving home on the 4th as Heidi and I will be going back to work at good ole Lowes Hardware.
We thank the Lord for what He has done in our hearts and in the hearts of others while we have been here. God is so good. We thank Him for going before us and working out all the details of this trip. He really has blessed us and we are thankful for such an amazing trip!
Christian School

Last night we we were at a Chrisitian school. It was a little bit of a hard time getting there. I messed up a little and was confused on where we were going. We finally found the place… after a long while of driving. Part of the adventure I guess. We had a good time of telling our testimonies. I think sometimes you can get used to telling how God saved you and it loses some of the wonder. I had worried about this as we have been doing this for a month and I wanted to make sure we weren’t just getting into a routine . Last night I really felt like we had the Spirit with us in a specail way as we shared our hearts about how Jesus saved us. It was neat time. I think we all shed tears… and it was a very real. We sang our hearts out and then I talked to the girls about loving Jesus.
They all listened really well and I just felt like telling the story of Jesus. The greatest, most beautiful love story ever told. I couldn’t tell it without crying! I have realized that Jesus sure does touch my heart in a deep way. I don’t ever cry so much as when I think about how good He has been to me or I just think about Him.
Anyway, tonight we are probably going to hoedown island at Natural Bridge. Love that place. Do a little Texas Ten Step! I love that! My favorite.
Tomorrow morning we are taking off early for Williamsburg KY. It is close to the Tennessee border I hear. We have two places to sing there… one in the morning and one at 4:00. We are looking forward to it. Should be a fun time and one of our last spots! It’s been good. God has ministered to my heart so much through this. I have learned a lot.
I was on the square and one of our friends here came up to me and sat down and we talked for a while. He told me that nothing has minstered to his heart more than seeing our family. He said, “I am a grown man! I am tough! I don’t cry. But you all had me cryin”. He said he has never felt the way he did when he heard what God had done in our lives. That encouraged me so much. I want God to be glorified. Wherever we have gone I have told people that that is our goal. We have no other purpose but to tell other people how we love Jesus. There is power in that people I am here to tell you. There is power in simply telling people you love Jesus.
Today is a hot day here in good ole Campton. I am here in Dairy Queen gettin internet access… country music playin over the speakers…. this is the campton I love.
We love and Dad and brothers! We miss you. Our hearts are not whole without you! Church family we miss and love you all! We look forward to seeing you and being home.
God is good. Life is beautiful! Live it for Him!
West Bend Church of God

Tonight we are singing on the street. I think we will sing “God On The Mountain” and “Without Him”. I like those songs a lot. I always love singing on the street. The people here are so kind about our singing and they are so sweet and encouraging. It’s like the people at our church. I am thankful for sweet people.
Tuesday we went to the nursing home and it was a great service. We really enjoyed talking to the older folks and wheeling them back to their rooms and singing…. I saw tears in the eyes and smiles on faces and I think it blessed them. When I got done I thought, “there is just nothing quite like this… you can go to a home like this and when you leave feel so happy and fulfilled that you were there!” That’s what it’s like to serve Jesus.
Last night we went to West Bend Church of God. It was a cute little church and the people there were so kind and sweet. They really listened and asked us to sing some more. While we were there a young lady came up after we took a break and sang a beautiful song. “I Can’t Make It Lord Without You” You can listen to this song here on utube. It’s a beautiful song. I LOVE it. Been singin it all day! I want to sing it when I get home maybe for our church!

This morning I got up and I had that song on my heart. I kept singing it to the Lord. Tears came to my eyes as I realized again and anew in my heart…. I can’t make it without Him! I can’t go one moment without Him giving me what I need. I must hold His hand until the day I go home… I just can’t make without Him!
It was a good service and I believe the people seemed genuinely blessed. Praise the Lord for that… that He would use us!
Yesterday in the morning I was out on the porch rocking and reading a devotional book. I was reading my bible and God brought me to the passage in -
2 Timothy 2:4 “No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier”.
I realized that God wants all of my heart. He wants everything I can give. He doesn’t want me to get distracted by “little things” here and there. Sure I must live in this world and do the things that need to be done… but my focus must be upon Jesus. So I told Jesus yesterday on the porch that I would focus upon Him. I would let Him be my main focus and love. Because I can’t make it Lord without you….
Singing In Kentucky

Well, we have been around since I last wrote. It’s been and it will be a full week… pretty much until we leave for home now. It’s been such a good time of ministry.
Saturday we sang at a benefit. That was probably one of the hardest places I have tried to sing because of the sound system and all. We were getting a TON of feedback on ourselves and it was deafening loud for us but it was just right for the people so… we just had to sing through it. I had a ton of fun. Something about being up singing about Jesus I love. That went well and I think we were able to minister to people’s hearts there. It was a neat thing.
And then we beat it over to Hoedown Island. I was still in my high heels from singing… So I went out and did a little ten step IN my heels. I had so much fun. Erma and Evelyn all the way from Michigan our home church was there! It was so fun to have them. They even came to church with us on Sunday.
Sunday morning we drove out to Lee City Church of God. It was a beautiful little church in the country. The Pastor was so kind. And when we sang as a congregation it was a group came up and all sang in different parts and we all joined in. I loved it. It sounded so pretty. While we were singing I looked out the church window and you could see the corn field growing right outside the church window.
Sunday night we were at Rogers Church of God. It was neat to be there. We had a really good group I thought. They were so kind and we all told our testimonies and sang out hearts out. The preachers in both services gave the gospel so clear and really preached it. It was a good service.
Tonight we will be at the nursing home here in town and singing for the sweet people there. I hear we have a few relatives there. We are looking forward to that.
It’s a beautiful day here in Kentucky the sun is shining bright. It’s been so neat to see this dream of mine really fulfilled. To be able to minster to the hearts of people. By God’s grace I believe we have been able to see that happen. God is so good. When Hope gave her testimony of salvation she had the whole church in tears… I guy came up to me later and said you just don’t see little kids like that talk about Jesus. You really never know what kind of influence you can have on someone just by being a testimony to the Lord.
Singing on The Street “Always Only For My King”

Last night we sang in town. There was a great crowd of people there. They were really sweet. And they all listened and clapped for us so well. As I always do when we first got up my I introduced ourselves and then said “We love Jesus Christ, that is why we are here singing tonight. He has made such a difference in our lives and He has been so good to us”. No matter where we sing I always say, “We love Jesus that’s why we are here”. I have had people come up to me and mention that they are so thankful to see that we are not ashamed or scared to mention Jesus name. Someone came up to me the other night when we were singing on the street and said you girls really love Jesus don’t you? I said, “We really do.” He had tears in his eyes and said, “That means the world to me.”
Tonight we will be singing at a benefit near Berea Kentucky. So we have to get up and about early today and get there on time. Then tomorrow we are in town churches and things begin to be steady from here on out! Our time here so far has been so good! It’s been so neat to see so many doors of ministry open up to us I feel very blessed that God would use us in such a beautiful place.
I better go get ready. It’s time to wash my hair and put our “uniforms” on today is black and khaki.
I hope today that whatever we do… it will all, every single thing we do… every thought, every word, every deed, every song we sing would always, only be for our King for it’s all because of Him that we live.
A Country Store

Yesterday we went to a little country store. It was a cute place. We loved it. It had a slapping screen door and everything. We got fried apple pies, they were good. We got a little candy and some cream soda. We went behind the store and took some pictures in the field outback. There was a small post office and a little church. Looked like there was someone painting the church. It was a beautiful day.
Last night we went to church up on the hill, the Church of God. We went with our Uncle Kelly. We weren’t planning on singing but then they asked if we would so got up without our music and opened the hymnal and just sang “Fairest Lord Jesus”. It was good to be in church last night. We went out and there was a storm coming into the mountains lastinght… it was getting windy and dark clouds were forming.
Today is a beautful day. We are singing on the square tonight at about 7:00. I think we will sing “Build My mansion”. Hope has a solo on that and everyone seems to love her singing. So we will be doing that tonight. A sweet lady stopped by as we were sitting out on the porch and wanted us to sing at her church. So we will be singing at her church this coming Sunday night out in Rogers. We also sang for our cousin Wink. He stopped over and while we were sitting on the porch he asked if we would like to sing.. so we sang “Don’t Act”
You cannot gossip and cheat and lie and make it to those pearly gates.
You must love your neighbor as you love yourself your heart can’t be filled with hate,Don’t act but be a Christian like the Bible says to be if your gonna live right let go of the wrong brother
fall down on your knees!
Great song!
The other night it was a full moon here in the mountains. I wish you all could have seen it. It was BEAUTIFUL! I am amazed at God’s beauty. So many times… just the simplest of things He makes so beautiful. Today I think I will go out on the porch and have my devotions. The birds are up and singing already.

This is a cute church in the middle of the mountains on the border West Virginia and Kentucky. I thought you would like it Dad. Dad we want to thank you and we hope that you know how much we thought of you while we were on the road. We missed like everything your amazing preaching that we have sat under for years and never once have tired of. That says a lot for a preacher I think. We missed you hanging out with us and making the best of every situation and always seeing the positive in almost everything! We hope that you know just how much we love and think about you while we are on this trip. Thanks for supporting us through encouraging words… comments…. prayers…. phone calls…. and money. I know you work hard to support those you love and we are thankful. We hope today that you are proud of our lives and we all know the way that we can please you most is to love Jesus with all of our hearts and never turn aside from seeking our heavenly Fathers face. We know that will make you happy and that’s the desire of your heart that has been made attractive and desirable to us. We want that too. We love you DAD!!!

Relaxing On A Lazy Summer Afternoon…

Yesterday we drove home from North Carolina. It was a long drive. We had scheduled a revival service we were to sing at in the evening but because of a few wrong turns it didn’t work out and we had to cancel. We would have loved to make it out there and we hope we can in the future.
Today is a beautiful day here and we have mainly relaxed from our traveling yesterday. It was a long drive and since we got off the beaten path a little we once again curved and wound around the mountains in West Virginia. Now West Virginia has mountains! It’s amazingly beautiful there….
Tonight I am hoping we can have Macaroni and tomato juice for supper and fried corn bread. If you have not had this meal you need to. Simple go to the store and get macaroni and tomato juice and Martha White Corn bread mix. It is the best!
We have a little friend who has been hanging out with us today. He acted like he was hungry so, Hope being the little mercy that she is, wanted to feed him. He might be hanging around for a while now… He is so cute he just plops down in the front yard and listens to us chat. It’s really kinda cute. Here Hope is sitting with him. I took it just a couple of minutes ago. I think she is eating a pop ice.
This morning I had my devotions out on the porch. I was reading in the book of John. I was reading of the acts of Jesus and his healings. I am also trying to study up for when I speak to the girls here at the Bethany home. I am thinking that the Lord would have me speak on His Love for them. I want them to realixe and know how much we are worth to Him. Therefore we don’t need to run to other things…. such as relationships, friends, drugs, and all the other empty things. We don’t need them at all for happiness. All we need to is to fall more deeply in love with Jesus. It’s a life long source that we will always drink from if we invest in. Jesus says, and I know this is true, that if we drink of Him we won’t thirst anymore for anything but more of Him. Oh that I would drink more deeply of Him day-by-day….
I hope that you all are enjoying this beautiful summer God has given us and counting your blessings on the front porch….

We arrived here safely in North Carolina. It’s the first time I have ever been here. It’s a beautiful place. We drove past this place called Mount Airey( I think that’s how you spell it). It’s the place that Any Griffith show was filmed.
Tomorrow is the big wedding of some of our friends and then we will be heading back to KY. I need to run and get ready. It’s a beautiful day here!

Hey Friends! I can’t tell you how fun it is to get your notes. Even though I can’t respond to them at this time I want you to know that it’s so neat to hear from you.
Tonight we went to Youth Haven Bible Camp. It’s part of the Kentucky Mountain Mission. There was a big group of kids here. We sang two songs and they listened so well. I told them the reason we were there is that we loved Jesus and we were singing around Kentucky wherever we could. It was a great night and I am so glad we went.
Tomorrow we are headed out to North Carolina for a wedding! And then we will again be coming back to Kentucky for more singing. It’s been a good day. And I miss the rest for my family……
